Donna Bella has three methods of permanent hair extensions, but did you know that we also have a line of Clip-In Extensions?

This are great for first time hair extension wearers and for women who aren’t ready to commit to extensions full time. You can still get the same great look and amazing styling power, all you need to do is clip them in and go!

Taking care of your Clip-In extensions is just as important as taking care of permanent extension. Proper care helps them look great and last longer. We’ve got some special tips to help you take care of your Clip-In Extensions.

Styling:

Always use a heat protectant. You should be doing this on your hair whether you’re wearing hair extensions or not! It’s so important to protect your hair and keep it healthy.

Remember, sulfates are just too harsh for hair extensions.

For synthetic hair extensions make sure to use low heat settings.

Shampooing:

Only use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Using a hair mask and serum at least once every 1-2 weeks will deep condition your Clip-Ins and keep them soft and healthy.

Wash your extensions after using them 3 to 4 times, especially if you’re using a lot of styling products. It’s best to let your extensions air dry

Storage

You can store them in the original packaging or any box or bag that keeps them safe. You don’t want them to get tangled with jewelry or to get dusty or dirty.

Braiding your extensions when storing them is a great way to keep them from being tangled, although this may cause a slight wave in your extensions (which some people love!)

Don’t store them wet! Air drying is great but you don’t want them to get musty in a closed container.

Always brush them before you store them. Remember to work from the bottom up and use Donna Bella’s special Hair Extension Brush.
