Pump Up The Volume

In case you weren’t aware, Donna Bella Hair Extensions aren’t only worn for length. Many of our customers with thin hair love the volume that they get with hair extensions. While some choose to wear a full head, others wear just a few rows for that extra oomph they can’t get from their natural hair. If you can relate, read on.

Just because you have fine or thin hair doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy hair extensions like everyone else. If you choose the I-Link method, make sure that more of your natural hair is being pulled through the bead. For thin hair, a flare bead is better because it is longer, crimping more hair (lengthwise) in the bead and putting less stress on natural hair. A silicone bead is also perfect for fine, thin, or sensitive hair. These silicone beads are made of aluminum with an inner silicone lining that reduces slippage and holds hair gently and securely. Another customer favorite for thin or fine hair are the Tape-In hair extensions because they put less stress on fine hair strands. We also offer single sided tape that is especially designed for women with extra fine hair.

Clip-Ins, which can be popped in and out easily, work just as well if you don’t mind taking the extra time to clip them in yourself. We recommend that if you’re using them for just volume, to get a shade as close to your hair color as possible. If it’s a little off, you can always take them to your stylist to have them colored to match your hair. Remember, you can deposit color but not lift it. So if you’re unsure when order, go lighter rather than darker.

So, if it’s just volume you want, consult with your stylist on which of these methods would be the best for you. It’s even more affordable than you think. Because hair extension prices get higher as lengths get longer, if you’re just looking for volume, you can certainly save money on your extensions. You also save when it comes to the installation cost if you’re opting to just have a few rows installed, rather than a full head.

Put down the root lifters and boosters and give hair extensions a chance. Still not sure? Let us know; we’d love to answer your questions.
