In about a week, more than 47,000 people will descend upon the "green" Expo 2008. They've changed the name to "Natural Products Expo West" and they're preparing to host a 4 day exhibition of some of the coolest and "greenest" products around. I'm of the opinion that there should be some sort of watchdog organization to oversee exactly what measures up to "green" standards, but that's for another post.
March 13-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, CA, will be home to more than 1800 exhibitors each showing off their latest wares and goods covering a wide range of industries from organic foods, health-focused products, sustainable living, alternative living, and beauty products. If it's green, if it's organic, and if it's sold to consumers, there's a good chance it'll be on display at the show.
The show is "produced" by New Hope Natural Media and will feature guest speakers from food guru's, and industry pioneers. The keynote address will be delivered by New York Times Magazine award-winning author Michael Pollan, winner of the James Beard Award for best food writing for his book The Omnivore’s Dilemma, which is certain to be entertaining and educational.
Exhibitors and attendees will have the option to purchase renewable energy certificates via registration. This will help them offset energy consumption for attending. For more information visit expowest.com.
