Q: Can I purchase just one method?
A: Yes. Each method’s training course is separate from the others.

Q: How many times can I watch the training videos?
A: As many times as you want, as long as it’s within the 30-day window after purchase. You can log in to another computer to watch the videos, too.

Q: What can I do with my Donna Bella Certification?
A: So many things! Once you get your certificate, you can hang it up in your salon to advertise to your clients that you not only use Donna Bella Hair Extensions, but you are certified to install and maintain them as well. Q: Why should I become certified?
A: There are many benefits to becoming certified. When you are Donna Bella Certified, you can feel confident working with hair extensions. Adding hair extensions to your skill set opens doors and helps your business grow. Your clients will be able to count on your training and experience. Donna Bella will reward you with marketing materials, reference guides, and discounts. You’ll be listed on our website as a certified stylist, so potential clients in your area will be able to find you easier.

Q: What does it take to become certified?
A: Watch the video of the method for which you would like to become certified. Practice a full head installation, including cutting, blending and styling, on a mannequin or a real person, and make sure to take lots of photos of the process. We want to see not only before-and-after photos, but close ups of the placement and attachments. If you have questions regarding what we look for in great extension work please send questions to certification@donnabellahair.com. You’ll also need to submit a written test. One course with certification costs $99. (All three with certification is only $229.)

Q: What materials will I need to do training and/or certification?
A: First, make sure you’ve purchased access to our online education videos, and that you have Internet access. You’ll also need hair and tools to practice with. We sell kits for each method, which is a great way to start, because they come with all the tools necessary for installation and removal. You’ll also need a camera to take before and after pictures if you’re getting certified.

Q: When will I get my certificate?
A: We’ll send you your Donna Bella Certification as soon as possible–about 2 business days after you send in your written test and before-and-after pictures.

Q: What happens if I don’t pass?
A: We’ll give you two more chances! If you need more help, give us a call and a stylist representative will assist you by giving helpful tips so you can retake the test and re-upload your pictures. (1-888-424-7548)

Q: Do I have to be a licensed stylist to watch the trainings or become Donna Bella Certified?
A: We do not require a cosmetology license in order to watch our online courses. However, we do require an active cosmetology license in order to become Donna Bella Certified.

Q: Which method should I pick?
A: Each method is useful to know for different reasons. Kera-Link (Fusion) is one of the oldest methods, and thereby one of the most trusted. I-Link (Beaded) is a popular method that is known for its natural flow. Tape-In is a new method that women love because it’s the fastest to install. You can always recommend a certain method to your clients, however, many will already have a certain method they like best. It is good to be well rounded and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Q: What are the videos like?
A: Each video is just under two hours long. Experienced stylist Ruben Martinez shows you how to complete the entire hair extension process. The videos are divided into the following sections: tools, consultation, preparation, installation, blending and styling, aftercare, and maintenance and removal.

Q: Who is Ruben Martinez?
A: Ruben is the educator in our Online Education videos. He’s worked with Donna Bella for six years, and he’s our Director of Education. He has traveled all over the United States teaching hair stylists how to do hair extensions.

Q: Can I get the videos on DVD?
A: At this time we only offer our educational courses via our online portal. We’ve done this to offer easy access to the courses as well as a more affordable educational experience.
