Tape-In
Learn the basics of Donna Bella's
newest hair extension method.
Installation
Before Installation: Make sure client's hair is dry and clean and free from any products or oils. Clarify hair if necessary.
1. Part the client's hair in a t-shape with the Quick Pick Hair Parter.
2. Remove the tabs from the weft while making sure not to make contact with the adhesive.
3. Place the weft just below the part with adhesive side facing down attaching to the natural hair.
4. Once placed, lift the extension up allowing it to grab just the right amount of hair needed to seal.
5. Clean up any loose hair ensuring that the part is clean for
the seal.6. Remove the tabs, either from the second weft of hair or the single sided tape, while making sure not to make contact with the adhesive.
7.To seal the bond of the extension, ensure the adhesive side is facing up and place it underneath the top weft.
8.Slowly lower down the top weft while lining up the bottom one directly underneath.
9. Once the two have met, press and seal the bonds.
Removal
1. Start at the nape of the neck, and section out the bottom row of Tape-Ins.
2. Apply the Tape-In Bond Remover to the adhesive bonds and wait for a few seconds.3. Gently pull the adhesive strips apart and slide them out of the hair.4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 working up the back of the head and on the sides, until every weft is removed.
Do you or your client have extremely thin or fine hair? Try Single Sided Tape for Tape-In Hair Extensions.
Maintenance
Hair extensions need to be touched up every 3 to 6 weeks.
Tape-Ins may be reused 1 to 2 times. To reuse, use the Tape-In Bond Remover to clean off adhesive residue. Clarify the extension and the clien'ts hair, then apply Replacement Tape on the wefts and apply as normal. Organize each extension weft upon removal so that you can reattach each weft in the same position as before. This will ensure that you will not have to reblend the extensions.
Organize each extension strand upon removal so that you can reattach each strand in the same position as before.
Brush with the Hair Extension Brush and avoid hair care products with sulfates.
