The Dos and Don'ts of Halo® Maintenance & Aftercare

Do:

  • Keep your Halo® extensions in a safe, dry place to maintain their quality and longevity when not in use.
  • Use a brush to gently remove tangles and keep your Halo® smooth and ready to wear.
  • Wash your Halo® extension with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, then let them air dry naturally as needed. This will help maintain its softness and shine.
  • Apply a heat protectant to both your natural hair and the extensions before heat styling. This helps prevent damage and extends the life of your extensions.

Don't:

  • Sleep in your Halo® extension. This can cause tangling, matting, and unnecessary stress on your natural hair and extension.
  • Tug or pull when positioning and removing your Halo®. We recommend always being gentle with a Halo® to avoid damaging the extension and your natural hair.
  • Use products with sulfates, alcohol, or heavy oils on your Halo® extension. These can strip the hair of moisture, leading to dryness and frizz.
