It’s been a busy year at Donna Bella (and it’s not over yet!). Throughout 2026, we’ve introduced a number of updates and initiatives designed to better support our stylist community—from making color matching easier to refreshing our education resources and connecting you with industry-leading professionals.
We’ve also made updates to the way you shop our products, including refreshed packaging and expanded availability at CosmoProf. With so much happening, we wanted to take a moment to recap some of the biggest changes and initiatives we’ve brought to you so far this year.
If you missed any of these updates, consider this your chance to catch up on everything we've been working on in 2026. And with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and more still ahead, there’s plenty more to come.
1. We Updated Our Shade Names to Align With Color Theory

Early in the year, we kicked things off with an important update to our shade names. We revised our color names to better align with the Color Theory taught in cosmetology schools around the world.
For stylists, understanding color is an essential part of creating a seamless hair extension match. By using shade names that are more closely connected to the principles of Color Theory, our goal is to make the color-matching process feel more familiar, intuitive, and straightforward.
Clearer shade names can help you feel more confident when selecting extensions for your clients, making it easier to find the right match and create beautiful, consistent results. Whether you’re a seasoned extension professional or continuing to build your skills, we want our shade system to be a helpful resource behind the chair.
This update is part of our ongoing commitment to making the Donna Bella experience easier for stylists—from selecting the right shade to creating the finished look.
2. We Revamped Our Packaging to Simplify Shopping

Along with our updated shade names, we also gave our packaging a refresh.
We wanted to create packaging that makes it easier to identify Donna Bella’s different extension methods while bringing a polished, elevated look to your station. Each method now has its own unique Donna Bella hue, helping distinguish the methods at a glance.
We also transitioned to stand-up boxes, giving our packaging a fresh new format that looks great on your station while keeping your extensions easy to identify and shop.
The packaging update goes hand in hand with our Color Theory shade-name changes. Together, these updates are designed to create a simpler, more cohesive shopping experience for stylists as you select the extensions and shades you need for your clients.
3. We Refreshed Our Education Classes to Keep Up With Industry Trends

Education has always been an important part of the Donna Bella experience, and in 2026, we refreshed our education resources to better reflect the ever-evolving hair extension industry.
We recently updated our online tutorials across all extension methods, giving stylists access to refreshed resources they can turn to as they learn and build their extension skills. We also updated our education manuals to provide additional support throughout the learning process.
Our refreshed education resources include:
- Online tutorials across extension methods
- Updated education manuals
- Resources for learning different extension methods
- Tools to help stylists build their skills and business
With access to education across different extension methods, stylists can continue expanding their knowledge and developing the skills they need behind the chair. Whether you’re learning a new method or looking to strengthen your existing technique, these resources are designed to help you continue growing as a stylist.
And because the industry is always changing, education is never really finished. We’re committed to continuing to evolve our resources so you can keep learning, building confidence, and growing your business.

4. We Created Our Pro Extensionist Team to Connect You With Industry-Leading Professionals

Another major initiative this year was the launch of our Pro Extensionist Team.
Made up of stylists and educators Clayton Hawkins, Olivia Thompson, Lo Wheeler, and Antonio Estrada, the Pro Extensionist Team brings together industry expertise, credibility, and real-world experience to help support and educate our stylist community.
Each member brings their own perspective and experience to the world of hair extensions, creating a team that can connect with stylists both in the salon and online. Their focus on education and community allows us to provide resources and insights that feel relevant to the realities of working behind the chair.
We selected this core group because of their knowledge, experience, and emphasis on community. Together, they represent the kind of expertise and relatability we want to bring to Donna Bella education.
As we continue building our stylist community, the Pro Extensionist Team will help us create opportunities for stylists to learn from industry-leading professionals while connecting with others who share their passion for hair extensions.
5. We Launched Online and in Select Stores at Cosmo Prof

One of our biggest initiatives of 2026 has been expanding where you can shop for our products.
Donna Bella is now available online and in select CosmoProf stores, making it even easier for stylists to find our products while shopping for the color, tools, and additional supplies they already need.
You can find some of our best-selling extension methods, including Signature Tape-Ins and Hybrid Wefts, along with tools and accessories. By expanding our availability through CosmoProf, we’re making it more convenient for stylists to access our products as part of their regular shopping routine.
